Precor next generation console

Precor offers multiple consoles and digital partner integrations to increase attraction, drive engagement, and improve your ownership experience. Our consoles offer frictionless access to our new workouts, virtual outdoor experiences, and best-in-class media experiences. Inspired by today's hottest trends, our latest consoles deliver a Precor-twist on popular workouts types like HIIT and heart rate. Whatever their training goals may be, we offer visual motivation and guidance to keep exercisers coming back. Below are a few projects that I contributed to the launch of NGC and new UX/UI features.

Machine Control: quick keys

“As an exerciser I want the ability to quickly change my desired workout parameters (speed, incline, resistance) as defined by equipment type, with a simple input option during a workout.”

Quick keys are numerical inputs on a screen that enable users to quickly change the parameters of their workout without having to use the on-device controls such as incline or speed handles. The idea for quick keys is that they will always be available to an exerciser and they can toggle whether or not they want them on screen at any given time, upon tapping the keys on the Quick Keys the workout parameter selected will adjust. In additon, the user has the option to choose what side they would like the Quick Keys to appear to accommodate for both left and right dominate hands and providing a customizable experience for each exerciser.

New Workout: Calorie Burner

“As an exerciser I want the ability todo a calorie focused workout that allows me to set my calorie goals and intensity and track my intensity zones with on screen coaching”

The Precor Calorie Burner workout is a stand-alone calorie target workout that provides real-time motivation and feedback around an exerciser’s calorie burning goals. This workout introduces a new calorie tracker dial, while also leveraging the training zones framework from the Precor Heart Rate Workout. However, rather than the zones reflecting heart rate ranges, they instead reflect “calorie zones” to keep exercisers on track to achieve their calorie goals.  This project also inculded in-person UXR testing.

These images were created for the default carousel that will run when a machine is not being used. These images highlight various features the console offers such as custom Heart Rate workouts, media and entertainment and custom HIIT workouts. These images appear on all machine types and were created from a combination of Figma, Illustrator and Photoshop.
